How it works

Everything you need to know about buying, downloading and using photographs from Photographium.

Your account

Create a free account, or continue with Google, to buy photos. Everything is under My Account in the top menu:

  • My Purchases – every photo you have bought, with its license and a download button.
  • My Favorites – photos you saved with the heart icon, to come back to later.
  • My Profile – your email address and password.

Buying a photo

  1. Open a photo and press Buy full-res.
  2. Choose the file type (JPEG or TIFF) or, for Rights Managed photos, the license you need.
  3. Confirm and pay securely through Paddle, our payment partner. Paddle emails you a receipt.

Every price is a one-time payment: no subscription, no credits.

Downloading from My Purchases

Most files are ready to download right after checkout. For a small part of the collection, the full-resolution file is prepared within 24 hours. Open My Account → My Purchases and press Download.

Each file stays available for 7 days, so please download it soon and keep your own copy.

File formats and colour spaces

  • JPEG – sRGB. All JPEG files are in the sRGB colour space, the standard for screens, the web and most photo labs. They look right in any browser or image viewer.
  • TIFF – Adobe RGB. All TIFF files are in the Adobe RGB colour space, which holds a wider range of colours for professional printing. Open them in colour-managed software (Photoshop, Lightroom, Affinity Photo and similar) and keep the embedded profile. In software that ignores colour profiles the colours can look dull or flat. When printing, let your software or print lab manage colour using the Adobe RGB profile.

Not sure? Choose JPEG for screen use, TIFF for high-end printing.

Licenses

What you may do with a photo depends on its license. See License types and the License Agreement.
